Feeling Extra Tired During this Holiday Season?

Posted on December 5, 2023December 5, 2023 By PassionateAboutTeaching No Comments on Feeling Extra Tired During this Holiday Season?

As the holidays approach, teachers are often left feeling exhausted and drained. The end of the semester can be a stressful time with grading, final exams, and end-of-year activities. However, it’s important to take care of yourself and recharge during this time off. Here are some tips on how to beat teacher tiredness during the holidays:

  1. Take time for yourself: It’s important to take a break from work and do something you enjoy. Whether it’s a hobby, exercise, or spending time with loved ones, make sure to prioritize your own needs.
  2. Get enough sleep: During the holidays, it’s easy to fall out of your normal routine. However, it’s important to continue to get enough sleep to ensure you are well-rested and ready to tackle the next semester.
  3. Try something new: Use this time off to try something new that you’ve been wanting to do. Whether it’s a new recipe, a new workout, or a new hobby, trying something new can help you feel rejuvenated and energized. I’ve been listening to new podcasts and making myself sit down and read.
  4. Practice self-care: Make sure to take care of yourself both physically and mentally. This can include taking a relaxing bath, meditating, or practicing yoga. Of course I find myself resorting to watching Hallmark Christmas movies.🤣

By taking care of yourself during the holidays, you can beat teacher tiredness and return to the classroom feeling refreshed and ready for the new year. Remember to prioritize yourself and your needs to ensure a successful and fulfilling year ahead.

Happy holidays!
