Kindness IS beautiful! Yes, I know it’s Thursday, but a true act of kindness occurred yesterday (on Wednesday). Therefore, it can still be Wednesday’s Wise Words, right?! 😂I’m also a day behind due to my injured knee and yesterday’s MRI (results are NOT what I wanted – I have a torn ACL. 😫

Going through neck surgery and now a knee injury is truly eye-opening. As small as your gestures and words may seem, it’s huge to those around you.

At our teacher’s luncheon yesterday, I was trying to get my own lunch and drink, obviously struggling. That one teacher who saw this and kindly offered to help made my day. Not only was it necessary, but it was so appreciated and unforgettable. This male teacher needs to know that his gentleman qualities went far!

It just made me think how small gestures matter and make a huge difference to those around you.

Make someone smile today! Be kind because it truly IS beautiful! 💜

Words matter! We all know how scarring and damaging words can be. We have all said words that we wish we could quickly retract and shove back in our mouths.

If you are teaching, parenting, or even around today’s generation, you know they are going through some major turmoil and issues. Words CAN make a lasting difference.

Yes, I know some kids are harder to like than others, but all kids need to feel like they belong. It is truly more than important than any math, grammar, or reading skill we can teach them. You matter! I love having you in my class – words that are quick and simple to relay to them!

I saw this image yesterday and wanted to share! It takes us seconds to say kind words, but their powerful effect can last a lifetime! 💜

Don’t forget to take the time to care for yourself. I’m definitely guilty of taking care of everyone else first. Through the years, I’ve had to learn to say “N-O,” NO and restructure my priorities in life. You can’t be good for others when you’re not kind to yourself.
